I have become a fan of the horror genre. I blame the above.

Last week was crazy with work and I have been trying to keep up with my Bleak House readings. Alas, I got behind and am now so far behind I will not be able to catch up. I'm on like page 317 and I need to be on page 717 by Weds. AND IT IS DICKENS. My reading-fu is just not that awesome. I spent most of Saturday and Sunday enjoying the crazy awesome weather. I read out on the balcony and the sun was shining...

Friday was Vegan Chili night and HORROR MOVIE NIGHT. I had bought Friday the 13th in order to prepare for the remake (because Jared Padalecki is in it and he is the subject of my new moodtheme), and Alyssa bought Urban Legends on sale at MovieStop. We started with Urban Legends which I loved in a cheesy horror flick way. Then, F13. Which was so good and awesome and scared me and amazing and I am in love with a horror flick. Sunday night Alyssa, Brian and I watched Final Destination and then Friday the 13 Part 2. Final Destination was okay for what it was. F13P2 was LAME. The intro was really great. And then two other parts were pretty sweet but as a whole, it was crap.

This week I have more ridiculous amounts of work to do. Valentine's Day will be spent going to see Friday the 13th with A and then sitting movies for Cheap Seats (because all the other officers are lame/A and I are Single Ladies therefore we should sit = LAME). Now I have that song stuck in my head.

I'm going to start on my Graphic Novel reading for Weds and then head to sleep. Sleep is good. My class is going to the National Cemetery tomorrow so that will be fun. Just need to remember to not be late to class.

So my point? I love horror movies. It sorta happened. Jensen made me do it. And then Jared acted like an enabler. And then I had friends willing to watch with me.

So that rant Christian Bale had? Happened in July.

Listen to his response to it. By the way, he's Welsh which is news to some people. I am shocked.

All in all, CB is pretty good guy. Just an intense actor. Don't be hatin' on him.

I finished my Green Lantern analysis at 10:57. It was due (by e-mail) at 11:00. I totally made it! Today was a long day. My three hour class actually went for about that long. I came back to the apartment only to leave like 15 minutes later to go to dinner.

I miss humanity. A little bit.

Meanwhile I have to read 200 pages of Bleak House and finish Eisner's Contract with God.

So much reading.

I hate being sick and not know what is going on with me. This crap has been going on for two weeks. Cannot formulate cultural landscape paper.




Meanwhile, Jared looks concerned.

ETA: I should stop freaking out. I need to not get wound up about feeling like crap. I need to get this paper done. And oh look, Kerr Smith plays WoW. And Jensen likes Wii Tennis.

ETA2:Okay. One page down. One to go. And a sketch. And I totally can't drawn. Yeah, this was a great idea. And tomorrow? ANOTHER PAPER. And 200 pages of Bleak House to read. Hah. I am going to die.

ETA3:Xena has not posted the readings for class tomorrow. That is lovely. This paper amuses me to no end. I have been writing some creative non-fiction fluff. Which is not a pres paper. Meanwhile...AM resisting urge to buy season 3 of Supernatural. WILLPOWER WANING. Vague voice of reason is asleep. (Like, actually asleep.) Argh.

ETA4: Paper is done. OMG, it is so flowery. I feel like a covert English major. Mwahaha. Meanwhile, Voice of Reason Part Deux (aka my bank account) stopped me from buying SPN S3. I am proud of myself. I am going to try and read some of Bleak House before sleep. I am in no way tired. Probably that latte I had after dinner. *facepalm*

So theo_winterwood and I are crazy. We realize this.

I think my body is going through a restart/detox. I keep feeling ill for no good reason. Meanwhile, I am going to run out of my Matevana tea really quickly.

I have been this hybrid of busy and not busy all week. I have so much reading and work to do for this week. I am ignoring it for the present. (No work before food.)

Tuesday:
Turned out to be a partial Snow Day. theo_winterwood and I broke into my Spa Fund due to utter poverty. Took all my change to Coinstar and then went to see My Bloody Valentine 3-D with the cash gotten. Which was awesome and bad and wonderful. I think I am developing a love for horror movies. Maybe just for bad Jensen Ackles horror films. We watched Devour later in the night. It was so bad. We also developed an amazing labeling sysem:

As far as we fit in, I happen to be a dick (which is totally true), and Alyssa is a tool. Our system is awesome.

Thursday:
We escaped the apartment. Driving around FBurg. Listening to music. Finding ways back. And finding a perfect Winchester song.

Friday:
Two hour walk around Fredericksburg. Finally walked around the Battlefield and the National Cemetery. Discovered how much I love this town. Also discovered deep, deep love for the movie, Ten Inch Hero.

Saturday:
Drinking coffee outside of Hyperion in the cold. Watching people waking and driving. Watched little children do Highland dances. Had birthday cake in honor of Robert Burns. Had best Cheap Seats sitting ever.

I still have so much work and people to call (darkesword, I have not forgotten you! I just keep falling asleep early!).

I have close to two hundred pages of Bleak House to read. Papers to write.

But now I have a good cuppa, good music, and the sun shining. Who could ask for more?

THERE IS SNOW! ON THE GROUND! AND COMING FROM THE SKY! AND STICKING! This never seems to happen around me anymore.

I think there should be a snow day. Fredericksburg is pretty much shut down - except for the college. HELLOOOO! Don't you guys usually freak when there is snow on the ground?

Alas, I only have one class and then it is back to the apartment for Villette for British Victorian Novel.

And on a totally separate note:

Supernatural makes my heart hurt. Hurt as in break. Break as in shatter. Over and over again. How can a show do this to me?

I have had ridiculous amounts of reading and some readings I won't even touch due to such poor quality scans. Tis' highly upsetting.

Best thing: Catching up with Supernatural. I love that show so much and watching it again just makes my heart happy.

Now I am going to work on upcoming readings and then SUPERNATURAL.
