Roomie (8:56:50 PM): oh god. i cannot read.
Roomie (8:57:03 PM): it's like all the words have stopped meaning
Me (8:57:20 PM): well, that's awkward.
Me (8:57:25 PM): words shouldn't do that
Me (8:57:34 PM): it's like being lazy on the job
Me (8:57:38 PM): someone can get hurt
Me (8:57:53 PM): like throwing themselves in a laundry folding machine
Roomie (8:58:01 PM): *headdesk*
Me (8:58:02 PM): you know? awkward
Roomie (8:58:13 PM): very awkward. i think i might go do just that.
Me (8:58:26 PM): Yay! A's for me this semester!
Roomie (8:59:32 PM): you are not properly sympathetic with my illiteracy-induced folding death
Me (9:00:10 PM): Considering you were thinking the same thing due to my forseen death, I think you are being a little unfair.
Roomie (9:01:27 PM): well, maybe just a little.
Roomie (9:01:37 PM): wanna see a bunch of prom kids bite the dust?

I ended up feeling like massive death last night and this morning. I decided today was an excellent sick day. Last night, roomie and I watched Carrie and Scream. Carrie was lame. Which made me very sad, seeing as I have had it built up so much. Scream was a lot of fun. Watching a Halloween and Friday the 13th made it even better. Today we watched A Nightmare on Elm Street and Fargo. ANOES was not that good but Freddy Kreuger/Robert Englund was awesome. Fargo was alright but not my cup of tea.

Speaking of tea. I want tea and soup. I am hungry but the world is so far away and being vertical sucks.

Meanwhile, it is raining. I don't want to do anything.

ETA: Bring me food, wenches. I am hungry and walking to dining facilities is out of the question.

Last night was $1 burger night at Capitol Ale House. It was delicious. I got a Flying Dog' In Heat Wheat beer which was a hefeweizen. It was very good. And I got a brownie sundae which at the time was a good idea.

Alyssa, Em and I ended up claiming Combs 139 to watch Twilight. I had not seen it before. Now I have read all the books and enjoyed the first one the most. I thought the movie was very pretty and had small wonderful bits. Main problem for me was I was feeling near death. Aka red meat and dairy was not the best dinner choice.

I skipped class this morning because I still felt like death. I am falling asleep. I am thinking of possibly taking a nap. I have like 50 pages to read of North and South and two papers to work on. And I have to go out a do a quick Built Enviroment Survey for Lab.

But sleep...

So I should either be sleeping or working on papers. The working on papers is difficult because the comp hurts my eyes. The sleeping is going to happen very soon.

This weekend was great. Friday I got to see The Omen and Halloween for the first time. I sort of liked/enjoyed The Omen but I LOVED Halloween. Oh man did I love Halloween. For starters, it's the first of its kind which shows. Still. It was so good. Alyssa, Kate and I watched it in a academic building on the big screen and it was wonderful. Jamie Lee Curtis was so great. Michael Meyers scared the crap out of me a couple times. And the gore was pretty much non-existent.

Saturday was also WONDERFUL. Alyssa and I saw Friday the 13th in theaters. Jared was incredibly hot and the wardrobe department deserves massive amounts of kudos for the jeans he wore. Jared was great it in. Everyone else was pretty good for a horror flick. The dialogue was NOT horrible. It was actually pretty funny at points. Intentionally funny. Jason was not scary. Nope. A little sad about that seeing as the original freaked me out so much. SPOILERS HERE )

The evening was spent hanging out with A's brother, and Chris. Having to sit for Cheap Seats. AND FINALLY WATCHING POLTERGEIST. Which was in no way scary but I still loved it. I miss old Spielberg.

Today was leisurely. Lunch with Kate. Alyssa and I have been discussing True Lies quite a bit recently so I decided to finally just buy it. I totally recommend it to everyone. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jamie Lee Curtis, Tom Arnold, sleazy Bill Paxton, and tiny!Eliza Dushku. The movie has some great action bits and is really funny. I still have no idea how this movie was rated R. It was one of my favorite movies as a kid. Man, I want to be Jamie Lee Curtis from it. She is made of utter win.

On the horror movie thing: Yes, I am obsessed. I've been avoiding the horror genre for years. Now that I find I actually enjoy the films I MUST SEE THEM ALL. Sorry for anyone who gets in the way of it! I need something to keep me occupied during the Supernatural hiatus.

Meanwhile, having the My Bloody Valentine 3-D OST playing softly in the background is really funny. As in, oh crap eerie music.

Legal Counsel: "I have two words for you. Less asphalt, More Green Space."
Girl from Class next to me: "Isn't that four?"
Me: "Wait.."
Girl: "That's five!"

The planning commission meeting went alright. I had to park in a vaguely sketchy area and was not quite sure where the chambers were. I had been there before when I was freshman for a ARB meeting.

The meeting went for about an hour and I ducked out to go check my mail. I got my refund check which was really exciting because I am near broke-hood. Not that I can spend said check. Due to the time of night, I drove around to Combs and ended up meeting Alyssa after class (this is 9 at night). I finally got all my library books dropped off. I deposited my check. Then victory MILKSHAKES!

I got a lot done this week and due to my packed Wednesdays, it feels like the end of the week. Nope still more to go.

Most of it is Bleak House.

Why I love my Planning Prof:
Fan of Frozen Hot Chocolate.
This bit from class today:
Prof: "A campus theater were you could show cult films...Army of Darkness...I guess I am alone there."
Me: "Man, Bruce Campbell."
Prof: "He is so dreamy."

XD I love this woman.
