I just saw The Who. The fucking WHO!!! I am still in disbelief. They were amazing. Pete Townsend did the windmill guitar-thing and was fucking amazing. Roger Daltrey: his tambourines, harmonica, and swinging of the microphone. Baba O'Riley. My Generation, which will NEVER be the same again. Ever. It is the most - I have no word for it. It sounds so amazing live.

They played a Tommy medley at the end. It killed me. I am now dead.

So despite the bruises, the bashing, the smoking (of cigs and pot - not by either theo_winterwood or myself), and the stupid crowd surfers, it is one of the best experiences I will ever have.

And as a side note:
We saw Gnarls Barkley. They were pretty cool. They dressed up as Roman armor, togas, and the back-up singers had this Cleopatra thing going on. The women who played the strings were awesome. They HAD AN ELECTRIC cello. So cool.

We saw the New Pornographers - not bad from what we heard. Will look them up later.

The Killers - They were great. I want to pick up their new CD. I fancy their lead singer.


Oh and Pete Townsend and Roger Daltrey - I so would.

We saw The Who.
