The Same Question
They both sat in their rooms. The clocks in their rooms ticked off the seconds in unison. The same question was running through both their heads. What if? What if Scott had not weakened the dam’s restraints? What if Logan had paid attention to what she was doing? What if? The clocks struck the hour at the same time. Both the alarms went off at the same time. The same sun slowly started to peak through their respective windows. Another day had begun for the both of them. Yet another long day without the person they both loved.
