Go d/l Bird by Maaya Sakamoto. It's an awesome song.
Ended up sing "I will Survive" with freshman Anna during lunch for karaoke. Rosie is making me sing Piano Man with her tommorow.
Stupid Spirit week. Stupid karaoke.
Piece of fiction for today:
Title: Dear Mercutio
Author: Steff (chibisteff@yahoo.com)
Feedback: For this ditty it doesn't matter
Fandom: Romeo & Juliet
Warnings: None
To Slash or Not to Slash: Not to slash
Summary: Romeo writes to Mercutio about Juliet.
A/N: I got a 95 on this. I do believe that my English teacher doesn't grade very harshly. Not my best work. I was working under a time constraint. I really don't like it. I might rewrite it one of these days for my own enjoyment.
Dear Mercutio,
For I ne’er saw true beauty till the night of the Capulet’s ball. True, Rosaline was a pretty face but that be all she possessed. Oh but Juliet! Her beauty is like none other. She is like the East, like the sun, that which heralds the dawn and harkens all to begin. She speaks like none other! Mercutio if only thou could just hear one word flow from her lips. Such sweet honey which I would gladly be drunk upon. You would be sure to agree.
Rosaline seems like a chaste woman but still ensnares men and their hearts. It is as if she could command the direction of cupid’s arrow. Either she choose a husband or gets herself to a nunnery. Forgive me fair friend for my wrongful infatuation.
Never fear fair friend for this time it’s true love. Juliet has hearkened a new day, a new beginning. I would that her name be not Capulet or mine not Montague. Our love could take flight without any hindrances. Yet for now we must hide our love. The truest any love could be. Mercutio I beg thee in the strictest confidence to keep these words to thou own being and to none other.
We are blessed, dear friend, that our love is so strong so pure that nothing can stop us from being together not even that of death.
Romeo
