Yep, there was a tornado in Mercer County where I go to school. Interesting experience. Couple cars in our school parking lot were totaled due to a tree that fell. We had no power all day. Windows got blown out/in. Houses were trashed. A girl got hit by a window in the computer lab. Farmer's Market no longer exists.
I WAS very pissed off at the school because in no way were they following any tornado protocal. If they had the girl would not have gotten hit with the window. *The Witchita, Kansas/Tornado Alley side of me speaks out*
They put all the grades into different areas to dismiss us by bus. In the cafeteria where I was they didn't call the East Windsor buses so I missed my bus but was able to catch the one other EW bus, which was nice enough to drop off the other juniors on my bus.
Walmart is trashed, cars are strewn, Chili's was hit, Best Buy had a fire. <- RT1
I knew today was going to be a bad day from the time I woke. Which was 7:33 - I had to have my elder brother drive me to school. And I forgot my rings and watch.
Everyone was using their cells phones today. I text Janette in Morristown and my Dad and Mum.
What an interesting day! Albeit a scary one.
