So I should either be sleeping or working on papers. The working on papers is difficult because the comp hurts my eyes. The sleeping is going to happen very soon.
This weekend was great. Friday I got to see The Omen and Halloween for the first time. I sort of liked/enjoyed The Omen but I LOVED Halloween. Oh man did I love Halloween. For starters, it's the first of its kind which shows. Still. It was so good. Alyssa, Kate and I watched it in a academic building on the big screen and it was wonderful. Jamie Lee Curtis was so great. Michael Meyers scared the crap out of me a couple times. And the gore was pretty much non-existent.
Saturday was also WONDERFUL. Alyssa and I saw Friday the 13th in theaters. Jared was incredibly hot and the wardrobe department deserves massive amounts of kudos for the jeans he wore. Jared was great it in. Everyone else was pretty good for a horror flick. The dialogue was NOT horrible. It was actually pretty funny at points. Intentionally funny. Jason was not scary. Nope. A little sad about that seeing as the original freaked me out so much. ( SPOILERS HERE )
The evening was spent hanging out with A's brother, and Chris. Having to sit for Cheap Seats. AND FINALLY WATCHING POLTERGEIST. Which was in no way scary but I still loved it. I miss old Spielberg.
Today was leisurely. Lunch with Kate. Alyssa and I have been discussing True Lies quite a bit recently so I decided to finally just buy it. I totally recommend it to everyone. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jamie Lee Curtis, Tom Arnold, sleazy Bill Paxton, and tiny!Eliza Dushku. The movie has some great action bits and is really funny. I still have no idea how this movie was rated R. It was one of my favorite movies as a kid. Man, I want to be Jamie Lee Curtis from it. She is made of utter win.
On the horror movie thing: Yes, I am obsessed. I've been avoiding the horror genre for years. Now that I find I actually enjoy the films I MUST SEE THEM ALL. Sorry for anyone who gets in the way of it! I need something to keep me occupied during the Supernatural hiatus.
Meanwhile, having the My Bloody Valentine 3-D OST playing softly in the background is really funny. As in, oh crap eerie music.
