...unlike porcelain. This is what I learned in class today. ArchLab is interesting. We have been IDing artifacts (COW BONE - metatarsus!). Which is hard for me and people like me who have never done any lab work before. Ferry Farm does not count due to only washing objects. A bunch of people in my class have had experience so n00bs got partnered up. My partner kinda decided to ID everything at first and left me clueless last class. This class was better. I ID'ed and described a piece of whiteware with transfer print under the glaze. It was exciting, so sue me.
We also had to identify a cow bone which was just amusing.
For museums we went to the Fredericksburg Area Museum. I have qualms with their exhibits. I am not happy. I did get to see lots of maps and other cool things but the presentation of some of the stuff was horrible. I stayed downtown and hung out at the bead store while Serena was working. She taught me how to make basic earrings and bracelets. So I have new jewelry!
Pres Club and Classic Film Club tonight. *sigh* I also have a mapping exercise due in Human Geography.
Other than the War With My Colon I have been doing well. I still do not have a roommate. I like my hermit plan. It is working well. I rarely stay out of building to hang out. Hanging out of my building is fine but I did it a lot last year.
And suitemate is taking mandolin lessons which makes me jealous. And I really want to take cello lessons...
