While they were not the best days of my life; they taught me to say the hell with everyone who does not matter. They gave me a better leverage when I get in a moral debate with a catholic. I did meet some awesome people. I have managed to fall down in front of an audience and get back up with a smile and a laugh. I learned how people can be cruel. I learned how people can become a second family. I embraced my pagan ways even more. I learned to hate. I learned to respect. I learned how painful apathy can be. I learned the power of a hug. I learned that I never really like good old American boys. I learned the greatness of irish potatoes. I learned to run through the streets of New York, laughing and freezing the whole way. I learned to act. I taught someone to act. I learned to change the way I look at things. I learned that adults have as many faults as I do. I learned that the Yankees will always be a pompus ass team and that even the orioles cna have an amazing season. I learned that Philly hs no good sports team. I learned that Pennsie kids can be different from the Jersey kids. I learned how cool some religion teachers can be. I learned how to fish. I learned how to fly. I learned how to do the charleston. I learned how the twenties roared. I learned that the AP tests are not the big bad wolves. I learned how to cry in front of strangers. I learned how tough depression can be. I learned how a hug can equal the greatest panacea. I learned how idiotic and educational institution can be. I learned how I was never really taught anything.
graduated
june 12, 2005
Finals blew, I barely knew
My graduation speech
And with college out of reach
If I can’t find a job it’s down to dad
And myrtle beach
So, I’m bailing this town-or
Tearing it down-or
Probably more like
Hanging around,
Hanging around
Everyone I know is acting weird
Or way too cool
They hang out by the pool
So I just read a lot and ride my bike
Around the school
’cause I’m bailing this town-or
Tearing it down-or
Probably more like
Hanging around,
Hanging around
And all that I need now
Is someone with the brains
And the know-how
To tell me what I want...
Anyhow
12th of june, a gibbous moon
Was this the longest day?
I’ll walk down to the bay
And jump off of the dock and watch
The summer waste away
Then, I’m bailing this town-or
Tearing it down-or
Probably more like
Hanging around
Hanging around
Just hanging around
So tell me what I want
