Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night,

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night,

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Just finished reading Pride and Prejudice. I love that book!

Day's have been spent researching Jane Austen things and reading Sean/Viggo fics (which i have many to catch up on and reply on [livejournal.com profile] rugbytackle).

Currently wishing I had a paid account. Also currently wishing we would start Macbeth soon in English. It seems we are starting The Oedipus PLays of Sophocles. Oh fun, murder, incest, and a great deal other things. Now if it was murder, faramir/boromir incest, and a great deal other things I might be able to stomach the whole thing.

I feel like writing something. I had fun earlier commenting on how Holden Caulfield (Cather in the Rye) would not like me and a reflection on both our characters in an essay I wrote during lunch which I put off last night.

Disturbing Event: My eight year old sister LOVES Bridget Jones's Diary (movie).
Should I be frightened? First of all it's rated R. Lots of coarse lanugage, but I suppose I could let that slide considering I never use and discretion when coosing my words in front of her. She'll be speaking like a sailor in no time. There's a bleedn' sex scene in it. Albeit a short one but all she sees is two naked people on the floor attached to each other.
My Mum actually let her watch it after I told her she couldn't.

One good thing has come from this: she is now a Colin Firth fan. -and it was NOT my doing.

So there!
